Poor Phraser

Women are like cigarettes

You take one out.

And when you first put it to your lips

It makes you short of breath and a little giddy.

Women are like cigarettes

You should be over 16 to enjoy them.

Some are too strong for you.

French ones give you a headache.

Rich men can afford expensive thin ones.

Women are like cigarettes

Some men never go anywhere without theirs.

Some men share theirs with their friends.

They’re nice to have at parties

And it’s always good to go home with a couple at the end of the night

But it’s not cool to take someone else’s.

Women are like cigarettes

You can pick them up in bars. And supermarkets.

Your mother doesn’t want to see you using them.

They do damage to your heart.

And your wallet. 

Nothing beats that first one.

When you’ve been hooked on them a long time

You sometimes would like to stop 

But you know you can’t live without them.

Women are like cigarettes

Some you have to kiss the butt all the time, to get anything out of it.

You get annoyed when they go out on their own.

It’s all over when the fire goes out.

Women are like cigarettes

We’re not allowed to burn them in public anymore.

They’re cheaper in Eastern Europe.

You don’t seem lonely when you’re sitting with one in a bar

And of course,

People without them complain bitterly about people with them.

Women are like cigarettes 

but I’m still looking for a match.
